Khajuraho - Panna Tour

It is the second day of tour package in which we will do Khajuraho temples sightseeing and spend evening in Panna forest. After breakfast, proceed for Khajuraho sightseeing. Car will take you to entrance of Western group of temples. Buy entrance tickets and hire guide (optional) to proceed for temples sightseeing. You can take your camera with you to photograph the magnificent sculpture art of these temples. These temple complexes are open for visitors from sunrise to sunset. During sightseeing, prefer to wear sandals or easy to remove simple shoes. It is because, shoes or sandals are not allowed inside temple so every now & then you have to leave your shoes outside temples. It is also suggested to carry your own water bottle during temples visit. If you are visiting in rainy or summers, then prefer to carry cap or umbrella as due to rocky surrounding, here temperature rises rapidly. Here it is important to note that you need to retain your entrance ticket as same ticket is used for visiting other group of temples in same day. Their is not restriction in temples photography so take as much snaps as you want. You can also buy necessary books are entrance gate counter. Later drive to Eastern group of temples which is smaller in compare to Western group but important.
After having lunch, check-out from hotel and drive to Panna national park (50kms) in south-east direction. Spend evening in resort at Panna national park. Here you may opt to visit Panna while staying at Khajuraho hotel. Taxi will take you to entrance gate for safari and later take you back to Khajuraho. But if you have planned to attend many safaris then staying at Panna resort is better option.

Panna National Park Tour Begin the day with morning safari in Panna forest. Due to negative publicity and controversies, tourists arrival in park is less. Like Bandhavgarh & Kanha national park, here you need not to struggle for getting entrance tickets. Similarly due to less crowd their is not limitations by routes. You can freely move inside park (but remain in you zone), do wildlife photography, birding and enjoy the virgin nature. Panna national park is spread over Vindhya ranges on which Bandhavgarh national park is also located. Panna forest offers good sighting of sloth bears, hyena, leopards and 6 rare vulture species. Here tiger population has also been revived with successful tiger re-introduction project. You may find 17 or more tigers in Panna national park.

As per your flight/train timing, you may opt either to attend morning safari drive to drive to Khajuraho for departure. If you have plan to visit further destinations, you may drive to Bandhavgarh national park.
